Pinspired #14

Good morning!!  I'm so pleased to be sharing another Pinspired Challenge post this morning.  I'm really excited about this inspiration photo. :)

We are sponsored by the ever-so-lovely and generous My Time Made Easy, and they have offered up the template of winner's choice as the prize for this challenge!  (and I love their templates.  So easy to put together a cute gift package!)

So here's the photo you'll be working from this time around:
Love this.  Coral and teal have been my GO TO colors this season.  Really!  I love the flowers, the vase, the washi, that little touch of natural twine.....LOVE. IT.

Here's my card based on the photo:

(sorry for the iPhone photo, but the hubs was out of town last week with his nice camera, so I had been roughing it with my phone.)

It's hard to see in this pic, but the "red" is actually a pretty vivid coral, and I heat embossed the sentiment on the vellum in gold.  I was inspired also by a card Jennifer McGuire made for Summer Card Camp 2, and wanted to try my hand at it.

Can't wait to see what YOU link up!!

Summer Card Camp 2

I signed up kinda late for Online Card Classes' Summer Card Camp 2, but I'm so glad I did.  I love their classes and am totally impressed with the sheer amount of inspiration I get from each lesson.  I missed the first week of class while we were on vacation, but plan to catch up later.  Here's a couple of cards inspired by this week's homework assignments.  Please forgive the crappy iPhone pic; hubby's got the camera packed up right now.

It's not too late to sign up; and you get lifetime access to the class.  I highly recommend it!!

Lawnscaping Challenge #62

Hello, all!  I'm so pleased to show off my creation for Lawnscaping's 62nd challenge, Paper Piecing!

I just love that the slow little turtle is "parachuting" down with his belated gift.....I am truly the WORST at sending birthday cards.  I have several that are still buried in my craftroom, sometimes even addressed to their recipients and in envelopes, but have never been sent out.  Sad!!  This little stamp set is perfect for me--I should ONLY make belated cards from now on!! :D

I love to use the paper piecing technique on my cards, especially when I just don't feel like coloring, or if I want to make a layered card without using lots of masking.  It's so easy to layer different fun patterned papers on top of eachother!  I do hope you play along, and I can't wait to see what you create!  Remember, make sure you "like" Lawnscaping Challenges on facebook, so you can catch all of the great inspiration from my fellow Facebook Inspiration Team teammates!
